Do I need DOFF Steam Cleaning?

Doff cleaning is a very specialist service using a very special piece of equipment, the Doff system.

Think of Doff as a fountain pen, only to be used on the finest paper where as the cleaning of cladding is a more a chunky Sharpie on carboard. Doff has a much slower flow rate, it still gets very hot and cleans well but you just need to ask yourself “do we need a gentle steam clean on this surface?” as it can be a misconception that “steam cleaning means Doff” which isn’t the case.

DOFF CLEANING FAQ’s

Will Doff remove the carbon staining?

In short, the answer to this is no. Carbon is a stain and requires an additional poultice along with the Doff to remove carbon, even then. Due to years of the stone absorbing the carbon, you will need chemical assistance and even media blasting to remove the carbon.

Access is tricky around our site, are there any other options?

We have a reach pole that can clean 35ft safely from ground level, still maintaining up to 150°C at the surface!

What surfaces can Doff be used on?

Brick, stone, concrete, tiled (glazed and encaustic), wood, faience, and terracotta surfaces suitable for steam cleaning using Doff.
Not only this, but our Doff steam cleaning services are a helpful sterilisation tool for kitchens, toilets, swimming pools, hospitals, and factories.
